Day 1: Hanoi- Halong Bay
Today we depart hotel at 8h00 and drive to Halong Bay, truly one of Vietnam's most scenic impressive sights. On arrival in Halong Town, we are welcomed on Emeraude Cruise with a refreshing drink and get some information on vessel. This is time for us to settle into a private comfortable cabin and unpack for a two days navigating around Halong Bay. Along the way we enjoy a huge lunch served on board and admire the picturesque scenery of islands. These limestone karst formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. We will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to Sung Sot cave, one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. The remainder of day is for your own pleasure; observing the bay, lazing around the deck or simply soaking up the sunshine. O/N on board. (L,D)

Day 2: Halong - Hanoi
The sailing junks navigating past over 3,000 limestone islands and outcrops jutting out of the clear and emerald water of the bay make for a marvelous scene. As an early bird we get up to observe the splendid landscape, do the Tai Chi exercise on sundeck, see the fishmen on a morning catch or simply feel the salt water scent. The huge breakfast is followed with a short cruise past many islets of various shapes and sizes. By mid morning we complete our exciting excursion and disembark at the private pier of Emeraude Cruise. The waiting vehicle will pick us up for a return journey, stopping en route at Dong Trieu pottery village. The trip ends after arrival in Hanoi. (B)
