Day 1: Hanoi - Cuc Phuong National Park - Ninh Binh
The national park Cuc Phuong boats one of the best preserved tropical forests in Vietnam and is home to many species of plant and rare animals, several of which we may see on trip. Today we depart hotel at 8h00 and drive south to Cuc Phuong. On arrival at the headquarter of Cuc Phuong we visit the centre of endangered rescue where still appearing precious animals like white shorts monkeys, fruit eating ape, tree — dwelling, monkeys…. We enjoy a walk to discover the park and visit one of the famous caves, Nguoi Xua which still retains some vestiges of primitive man, and the “Cho tree” aged of more than thousand years. This huge ones would take ten arm’s length to contain their circumference. Upon leaving the park we drive to Tam Coc, past of the scenic countryside. O/N in Tam Coc. (L)

Day 2: Ninh Binh - Tam Coc - Hoa Lu - Hanoi
Today we embark a boat for our exploration of Tam Coc. The tiny boat rows along a river through the quiet and peaceful landscape of rice fields surrounded by limestone formations to the grottoes of Tam Coc. At the end of the river trip we get our first biking experience as we cycle to visit Bich Dong Pagoda which is famous for the three Buddhist shrines hidden beneath towering cliffs. The capital of Vietnam during the Dinh and early Le Dynasties is Hoa Lu, which however has left its legacy in the form of two small temples, each one nearly a thousand years old. We continue cycling across the many peaceful villages to visit these two remaining structures. They are dedicated to the Dinh and Le Rulers. The trip ends after arrival in Ha Noi. (B)
